- General Information About New York City
- Information about the delegation excursions
There is an extensive subway system in NYC with over 400 stops. Only about 1/4 have elevators. Some have escalators. Most have several flights of steps to climb. You can enter the subway or buses with the tap of your credit card. A few metro cards that can be refilled at the subway stations will be provided for anyone who can't use a credit or debit card. The fare is $2.90 each trip. Subway availability often changes on the weekends while maintenance work is done. Check Google or the NYC MTA trip planner for best routes. There are many bus routes within each borough (Manhattan, Brooklyn, etc.) but hardly any from one borough to another. Uber, Lyft, Yellow Taxis, and Car Services (private car companies) operate throughout the city.
