Janet Bardwell,  Denver Water is Life. I grew up in Colorado where I was always acutely aware of the preciousness of water. The drawing became a meditation on water, land and survival. 11x 8" $125

Janet Bardwell,  Denver Exploration 3 (Small vertical piece with gold).
I started my sincere map exploration recuperating from surgery. I made them the size of bookmarks so people would interact with the piece often. This one is a favorite so it was framed. I particularly appreciate the many details of the cartographers language in this small piece. 5 x 2"
$50
Janet Bardwell,  Denver Exploration 11 (square map).
Where is this? What does this place look like in person? There are no distinguishing features on the map - it is the purity of the topographical lines. I also appreciate the contrast of the colored pencils and the metallic pen that add complexity but maintain the simplicity of the map. 4.5 x 5"
$40
Janet Bardwell,  Denver Exploration 23 (silver dot frame).
The Exploration series has allowed me to do small pieces on many different maps and many different places. Sometimes I used different media. Sometimes my artist’s hand is more evident. In this one I explored enhancing the maps marks and going beyond the lines. 5.5 x 3.5"
$40
