The Importance of Play
Do you know that having fun is a revolutionary activity? As parents, we get to have fun. We need it, and our young people need it.
It’s good and important to play with and enjoy our young people. The more we can do it, the better. We can also figure out ways to have fun for ourselves.
What do you love to do? I love to play my ukulele. I play music with my husband and adult daughter and niece. Nothing makes me happier.
As our societies collapse, our young people look at our worried faces and internalize the worry. I’m not saying you are bad because you worry, but you get to discharge on it to get a clearer picture of the benign reality. If we’re going to give young people a picture of the world being a good place, we need to do some work to have that reality for ourselves.
If you can enjoy your life and do activities that bring you joy and happiness, your young people will be reassured and feel more hopeful. And you get to do it for yourself!
Love to you!
