Registration procedure for RC web site

✋Registration for RC web site is needed only once. With one member account you get access to all resources that you have been authorized to use within this web site. The words userid, memberid, user account, member account are synonyms.

Resources in this web site for which you need a member account are:

  1. Online fundamentals class;
  2. Subscriptions, examples: Present Time Online (PTOL), local web sites, manuals;
  3. Editing of local sites, translations, journals;
  4. Workshop organizing tools.

✋To complete registration you need an e-mail account that allows receiving e-mail from noreply@cocounseling.net. In several e-mail-services you will need to put this address in your address book to prevent the e-mail notifications being caught into the spam filter (or folder). This is at least the case for outlook.com, hotmail.com, msm.com, and live.com.

The procedure for registering as member involves several steps. All these steps will have to be completed to get a working member account.

✋The most important prerequisite for registering is the need for a  referenceid: the e-mail address of the person who will complete your member account. The following people may have such authorization: RC litsales, AIRP, RRP, or ARP.

The procedure works as follows:

  1. Goto https://www.rc.org/page/register;
    1. Create a memberid with at least 8 characters, and without spaces, and record it, you will need it each time you log in;
    2. Fill in the other fields:
      1. Use your real name otherwise your registration may be rejected;
      2. Your valid and private e-mail address
      3. The e-mail address of your reference that has been provided when you where invited;
  2. You will be send an e-mail with a link back to the web site:
    1. That link opens a form that will allow you to set your password (with minimum requirements),
    2. While setting your password you also confirm you have used an existing working e-mail-address;
  3. After you have confirmed your e-mail address and set your password in the previous step your reference receives an e-mail. When the reference has found time to accept your registration, you will receive an acceptation mail. Please be patient and allow your reference time to process this.
  4. After acceptation of your account the authorizations for your resources or services will have to be configured. When you cannot find the needed resources or get error messaged this will most probably indicate your authorizations have not been completed.

  2. What is the best way to remember my memberid and password?
  3. I get "The publication you are looking for is (currently) only available to subscribers.". What should I do?
  4. I didn't complete the registration procedure correctly. What to do now?
  5. Why don't I receive e-mail from the RC web site?

When I am in the registration page there is no form at the bottom! Why?

  1. Check the link you received to register. When there is a small misspelling (including a dot at then end) the form may not be loaded. Please click here to register: https://www.rc.org/page/register
  2. Look in the upper right corner of the web site, and see if there is a button 'log off' (that has replaced the 'log in' button). If this is the case you already have an account. Please check if you can log off and then log in again.

What is the best way to remember my memberid and password?

Web browsers have built in password managers. A password manager is more safe and convenient than many other methods. See Using a Password Manager.

I get "The publication you are looking for is (currently) only available to subscribers.". What should I do?

It takes a number of hours before new Subscriptions are processed. If you cannot access the subscription the next day:

  • For Present Time Online Subscription ask Rational Island Publishers if your subscription was activated (or expired)!
  • For the Online RC Class ask Dvora about the status of your Subscription.
  • For Organizers or Editors Manuals, please ask your support person.
  • For local web sites ask your ARP.

I didn't complete the registration procedure correctly. What to do now?

When you didn't complete the process, here are things to try before you write for support:

  • Try to create the account again, using the same e-mail-address.
  • If you get an error message saying the account is already in use try to recover your password.
  • If both don't work try to clearly describe your question and send it to your contact person.

Why don't I receive e-mail from the RC web site?

Several e-mail services place e-mails from unknown senders in your spam folder. Check your spam folder. And add the web sites e-mail address to your contact or address book. The service may have instructions on line about how to do this. Some also, within their web mail client, provide a button or link to add the sender address when you look up the e-mail in the spam folder.

When you want to add the web site e-mail address manually use:

   noreply@cocounseling.net

Similar action maybe needed for your other contacts or e-mail lists.
