RC Webinars: Overview

“RC Webinars” are online RC classes on important issues approved and organized  for the International Community.  We now have liberation/community building webinars every 2 months (6 a year) and climate webinars every two months that are one and a half to two and a half hours long—with theory, mini-sessions (randomly assigned), and demonstrations of counseling. There is often a large audience and so they are not very interactive (though people may submit questions via the chat box—the leader may or may not have time to answer).

We charge for webinars on a sliding scale from $0 to $50, with payment on the "honor system." While we know some people can't pay anything, payment supports the work of the International Community.  Our experience has been that over time fewer people who have means to pay are paying for webinars in advance, but with a reminder do submit a payment.

Each webinar will have worked out a method for payment.  People attending must register and pay for each one separately through the webinar organizer, not through RCCR. RC webinars are treated as a Regional Gather-in for financial accounting (Form 400A).

A Reference Person's approval is needed to attend.

When possible the leader will offer the webinar twice on the same day, or in the same couple of days, once in the morning and once in the evening, to make it as accessible as possible for people in different time zones.  If not offered twice, Regions for whom the webinar was inaccessible can contact the leader and offer to organize a second time.

If a Community wants to organize interpreting for the RC webinar, we may extend the length a bit.  Please notify the organizer of the webinar in advance so that we may plan for interpreting.

Registration for the webinars should be done through a Registration link rather than by emailing the organizer.

Webinars are listed in at least east coast USA (EDT or EST—depending on whether it is daylight savings time [EDT] or standard time [EST]) and some other time zone.  If time zones are confusing to you and you want to convert to your time zone, Time Zone Converter is very useful.  You can put in New York City (east coast USA) and then your city, and it will tell you the time the webinar will happen in your time zone.

Information for webinar organizers is found here.

To offer a webinar, please write Tim at ircc@rc.org.
