A Great Group to Belong To
The working-class economics group was a great group to belong to, even when we were grappling with complicated issues. Talking to each other about what we’d read was great and led me to some good Co-Counselling sessions about childhood experiences of reading and learning.
It helped that Doughnut Economics is a wide-ranging and inspiring book. It is possible to change the structure of our society to one that works for everyone and doesn’t destroy the planet. There were great examples of things people are doing around the world to accomplish that.
Thanks to Mel for having such a brilliant idea in the first place and then putting it into practice so skillfully!
