Fundamentals Students and the Counselor Role
I recently checked in with my RC fundamentals students about how their sessions were going and how they were feeling about being in the counselor role.
Being the counselor has brought up feelings of discouragement for them. They are concerned about doing it right and not wanting to mess up [make mistakes]. I did some demonstrations in which the clients worked on early discouragement and feelings of having to be perfect.
What have others done on this topic? If you have time to share something you’ve found useful, I’d appreciate reading it.
