Harvey always seemed to set a tone that was just challenging enough to push us to the next level of re-emergence without making it too hard to reach.

In my early days in RC, I certainly did not believe I could lead "mental health" liberation -- nor were many people interested in it. Without Harvey's support and encouragement, it would have taken me many years to begin leading this work. Though he barely knew me, he assumed I had something important to offer RC and the world, which was not an assumption made by many others at the time. (I did not "look like" a leader and had never led much before getting into RC.)

Harvey assumed he and I would be working together from then on. It made all the difference to me.
