Adult Children of Alcoholics
I would like to be the new Information Coordinator for Adult Children of Alcoholics. I am an active and dedicated member of the Seattle Co-Counseling Community. I grew up with alcoholic parents. I have done a fair amount of work on early memories of growing up around adults who numbed themselves every day with alcohol. I can represent the RC policy on alcohol and drugs without any doubt or equivocation. I am interested in organizing a group of Co-Counselors who have also dealt with alcoholism while growing up. Growing up with alcoholism is an isolating experience. I would like to see us be able to work on this distress more openly than it appears to me we are presently able to do in our Co-Counseling Communities.
