Note V. Projects Aimed Outside the RC Community

United to End Racism (UER) is a project of the Re-evaluation Counseling (RC) Community. UER offers the perspective that healing the emotional hurts caused by racism is a key part of the broader work to end structural racism. It also teaches people listening tools that support their inherent emotional discharge process. UER began in 2001 with a delegation to the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Forum of the United Nations World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa. UER continues to play an important role. It introduces the benefits and usefulness of listening and discharge to activists, organizers, leaders, educators, and many others. It also continues to help other groups learn about and use the tools of RC as part of their work to eliminate racism. Since 2001, UER has led hundreds of local events, given introductory RC workshops in a number of countries, and participated in several large projects, including World and U.S. Social Forums. UER has been a key participant at numerous conferences, including the annual White Privilege Conference, the Tule Lake Pilgrimage, the Gandhi-King Conference, and the United Nations COPs (conferences on the climate emergency). UER has a section on the RC Community's website at rc.org/uer and a website for people new to RC at unitedtoendracism.org.

No Limits for Women (No Limits) is a project of the Re-evaluation Counseling (RC) Community. It is an international organization of women (and men who are allies to women) dedicated to eliminating sexism and male domination throughout the world. The main work of No Limits is to reveal how women have been damaged by sexism and to help them assist each other, woman by woman, to recover fully from the damage.

No Limits prioritizes the development of female leadership. Women leaders and their perspectives are crucially needed to solve the enormous challenges facing the world today. Using RC, No Limits offers ongoing mutual support and resource to sustain women in their efforts to eliminate sexism and male domination. It is available to women of all cultures and all economic and social conditions. No Limits also works in partnership with men to end both structural and personal sexism and male domination.

No Limits has a section on the RC Community's website at rc.org/nolimits and a website for people new to RC at nolimitsforwomen.net.

Sustaining All Life (SAL) is a project of the Re-evaluation Counseling (RC) Community. It is an international grassroots organization working to end climate change in part by working to end divisions among people. SAL uses the tools of RC to provide ongoing support to people to free themselves and each other from discouragement, isolation, and other internal struggles caused by the oppressions in our societies that separate us from one another and from the world around us. The goals of SAL include

  1. increasing awareness of the existence of and damage caused by climate change,
  2. freeing people from the hurts of oppression and other hurts that can turn them against one another and make them compete for and irrationally exploit natural resources,
  3. supporting people to organize effectively to preserve and restore the environment, and
  4. assisting activists and organizations to be more effective in their work to stop climate change.

SAL has a section on the RC Community's website at rc.org/sustainingalllife and a website for people new to RC at sustainingalllife.org.

Jews and Allies United to End Antisemitism is a project of the Re-evaluation Counseling (RC) Community. In many cities worldwide, teams of RC Jewish leaders work side by side with non-Jewish allies to bring the tools of RC to Jewish organizations, including synagogues, and to help everyone understand what antisemitism is, how it functions to divide groups, and how to work together as Jews and allies to end it. Jews and Allies United has a website for people new to RC at jewsandallies.org.
