Seattle UER/COE Project

In Seattle, Washington, we formed a UER/Care of the Environment project in 2013. Our goal is to take our tools and our work on eliminating racism into the environmental movement. Some of our accomplishments since then:

• Ongoing participation in 4 local environmental groups where we have been able to introduce RC oppression theory (through presentations and development of materials) and listening tools
• Numerous presentations of basic theory and our work on racism for organizations, conferences, and the broader movement
• An ongoing support group for climate activists interested in personal work on racism

We meet monthly to set goals, review our progress, discharge and build our relationships. Teresa Enrico leads the group.
