Print edition subscriptions begin with the next issue of the journal and not the current issue. These are the cutoff dates to start a subscription:
Subscribe before December 31 ➡ to receive January Issue
March 31 ➡ April Issue
June 30 ➡ July Issue
September 30 ➡ October Issue
