A Great Way to Start a Climate Conversation
I’d like to share with you a perspective that has helped me to reach people. It gives me more hope, too!
People often think that solutions to the climate emergency will make our lives harder and that we will have less of what we think we want (for example, individual car ownership, long-distance travel, the latest electronics).
I like to suggest that our lives will actually be better as we work our way out of this situation. We will be richer in relationships. We will have deeper connections with our neighbours and with the earth. The pace of life will be more human—peaceful and enjoyable. We will have more time for family, friends, community, and creativity, including, art, music, theatre, and storytelling.
It’s a great way to start a conversation!
