Speaking Local Languages First
I grew up with two and then four languages: first Romanian and Hungarian (dominated, but dominant toward each other) and then German and English (both dominant). I’ve had to discharge on the oppressive relationships.
I conduct RC classes and workshops in either Hungarian or Romanian with interpretation into English.
For a while I spoke English first, with interpretation into the local languages. However, Central and Eastern Europeans found this restimulating. Many said they would no longer come to my classes if I prioritized English.
So I began using local languages first. Often the English interpretation is not perfect, but I don’t worry about that. English speakers have so much access to written RC theory that they can always access the information in other ways.
