Two Branches of Language Liberation
We need to work on two branches of language liberation:
1) Those of us who do not speak a dominant/majority language need to face that if we lose our own language, or don’t use it, we will lose something decisive and important. Without our own language, we will never be fully ourselves and fully free.
2) Those who speak a dominant/majority language need to give up their language dominance, and the comfort and lack of awareness associated with that.
