Present Time No. 106 (Vol. 29 No. 1)

This January 1997 issue of Present Time begins with an excellent summary by Harvey of "What We Think We Know," followed by reports from a number of people on the recent World-Wide Conference of Jewish RC Leaders in Israel

Articles such as "Restoring Valor to People of Pallor" and "Real Contact with Real People" are full of fresh thinking. "Re-learning to Care" seems to me to express the essence of RC.

People writing in their native Basque, Norwegian, French, and Tamil languages tell of the Basque liberation struggle, and allieance with a young person, a "breast-feeding week" in Cameroon, the importance of the RC no-socializing policy, and proverbs akin to RC. OThers write from Mauritius, Kenya, Turkey, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Greece.

We received more artwork than usual for this issue. Thank you to everyone who sent in drawings and photos! And we always need more. It would be nice to have more peotry, too. Please send articles, poems, drawings, and photos for the April Present Time to us by March 3rd. Workshop announcements and list changes should be in by March 10th. Happy 1997!
