For us to have the lives we want, we've got to give up the oppressor role - a role we never wanted and didn't choose, a role we feel bad about. We can decide that it's going to end with us. We are the beginning of that end. Instead of feeling bad that we carry oppressor material, we can feel proud that we get to be the beginning of the end of that distress' existence. We get to be the beginning of the unraveling of oppression. We can decide that. We can decide that now. It doesn't mean that we won't make mistakes, but making the decision changes our world.
