It was at one of the first Regional workshops I attended, about ten years ago, that I first heard Harvey speak about eliminating white racism. I remember listening to him with my eyes wide as saucers, glued to his face, and the rest of me shaking like a leaf, just soaking in the knowledge that a powerful white man was going to make sure that racism was eradicated. His power, persistence, and integrity made a huge impression on me. I remember thinking that this was a man I wanted to follow.

Through the years Harvey was persistent about us reclaiming our complete power and goodness and using our power to free all humans from the effects of oppression. That is why I stayed in Co-Counseling through the times things felt rough for me.
