The assumption is made in Re-evaluation Counseling philosophy that every human being is essentially an artist, that the process of being intelligent involves the creation of new concepts. At workshop-type gatherings, art materials and tools can be provided and enthusiastic encouragement given to people to create and have their creations appreciated. Poster paint, paper and brushes, semi-stiff wire and pliers (for wire sculpture), paper and pencil for poems and songs, penny whistles for instrumental music, and a cleared space for dancing can sometimes bring an enormous outburst of excellent art which can go on being created in people's lives after the workshop.
