My Dear Tim Jackins,

Today I received the sad news of the demise of Harvey Jackins-my first sad news of the new millennium. With a heavy heart I called out to my wife and shared the news with her.

Harvey instilled in me a paradigm and a habit of discovering the humanness of human beings. This has helped me tremendously in my profession as a human resources development expert and in making me a better Muslim and a better Indian. I am tremendously indebted to Harvey for what I am today.

I am from India, presently working in the Sultanate of Oman. I attended a workshop on Co-Counselling in Madurai, India, conducted by Harvey in the early 1980's. RC made some sense to me, but I had a number of questions in my mind. I articulated those questions to Harvey. Subsequently, he invited me to Chicago, USA, for an advanced Re-evaluation Counselling workshop. After that I was recognised as a teacher in Re-evaluation Counselling and I had the privilege of conducting a few workshops myself.

After I moved to Oman in 1993, there was some decline in my Co-Counselling practice. Last year, Harvey sent me The List and a copy of Present Time. I have heard quite a lot about you from Harvey, and I am sure that you will be able to carry on the good work done by your father.

With love, regards, and best wishes,

Dr. Amsa Parambil
Ruwi, Sultanate of Oman
