Dear Harvey,

I still remember the first time I ever met you, at a workshop way back in 1981 or so. I watched, round-eyed, as you proceeded to love every person who came up and stood beside you. I had only dreamed that someone could intelligently and good-humoredly love so many different people.

Harvey, you and your ideas saved my life, and I thank you. I thank you also for showing me a way-of-being to grow into.
